Working on the bucket list....

We watched the commercials yesterday at the Riddles in Bogart...another star on our bucket list!!!  My sister and her family always make us feel welcome and  safe.  Deacon is bad about nipping Roscoe - the 140+lb white lab and significant other to Laila who weighs in at a mere 90 or so.  So far so good, but he sure does push the limits of patience of this magnificent dog. 

I liked the :60 commercial and am soooooo happy someone was able to clean up under Deacon's eye for his close-up!!!!  Tomorrow I'll have to thank the Day One edititing team.

Preparing for tomorrow

Tomorrow the :60 commercial will be broadcast during the USA figure skating championships on NBC.  Judging from the :30 spot, Deacon and I are now promoting life insurance- I guess since so much of our story is about Tom and losing him.  Life after.....
Deacon and I are at the Riddle's, planning on honkering down tomorrow to wait and see what will be presented to the world.  A little nerve racking, I have to admit.  :)  But what an adventure!!!!

We got a new car!

Well, new to us. It is a 2010 Jetta Sportswagon, we LOVE IT!  Thanks to Russell Webster at Wholesale Import Cars for giving us a great deal>

We saw the new commercial this morning!!

We almost missed it!  My longtime friend, Sandra Player, Shelley and Melissa all spent the night so we could start watching the Today Show at 7am.  We were talking about something and suddenly I saw me and Deacon out of the corner of my eye.  I started hollering - Sandra told me later that she thought the place was on fire - we missed the first few seconds, I guess. 
But my sister Kathryn had TBowed it so she didn't have to get up at 7 - and when she played it back later she recorded it on her IPhone and sent it to me.  Thank you!!  I'll get a copy now that it's been released,  but sure do like being back to back with Ms. Streep in Kathryn's version!
Am getting lots of texts and phone calls.  :)

Thinking about next Monday

Deacon's and my Prudential commercial will premier on NBC's Today Show next Monday, January 16th.  I've not seen it and won't until it airs.  It's hard to describe the anticipation.  I think about the footage they used in the documentary at dayonestories.com, and assume the commercial is taken from it.  But hey, they were here all day, have hours of footage - it could be something I've never seen before.  I know Deacon is in it because I signed a release for him.

Posting Again!!!!

Grammy's death, funeral, holidays have taken precedence over travel and now we are committed in Chattanooga for a while - our next trip will be an extended road trip to Florida.  Deacon will have TWO girlfriends waiting for him at the PGA and we will be in the croquet world for eight days.  Then visiting friends - checking off that bucket list!!  If anything exciting happens before then we'll let you know!
