Rocky has gone to live with his sister.  Mom says she is his real sister, while I am really a step brother.  That's okay with me - I miss my big little brother, but now that I'm the only dog again, I'm really enjoying it! 

 I have a new best friend, Roo, and he is helping me not miss Rocky.  :)

I HAVE A NEW FRIEND !!

This is my new friend Domino!  He lives right across the street.  He is 5 years younger than me and has lived a mostly inside life, so is just learning to play.  He has the greatest haircut - he looks like a lion !  Mom said my hair won’t do that

2021 UPDATE

 Well, Mom and I spent almost the whole last year training my little brother Rocky.  And man did he need a lot of training.  He is still a long way from my and Mom's standards. but Mom is letting me help her train, so it is being done right.

We've been quarantining except for two family beach trips - I got to go with Mom and Shelley and Melissa to Alligator Point and Rocky went to Garden City Beach with the VA Gutheries including HENRY.  So I know they had fun on the beach.  

 

Mom said this is a great time for US to raise a puppy.......

Mom has been saying I might get a baby sister.  She even showed me a picture of a Havapoo girl.  I think I could LOVE her!!!!!

Sharks

You might remember I’ve had to deal with Bears and Bulldogs and Cats as well as putting up with a whole bunch of dogs who visited us this year.  So now it’s sharks. Everywhere.  I learned real quick that Mom wasn’t talking about real sharks before I even saw one. For one thing, even I know there is no salt water in Washington DC.  But people are actually walking around like normal wearing shark suits. Or shark hats or at least a shark tshirt.  And this is Mom doing some stupid thing everyone does with their arms. That is not her hair, btw.

Anyway, this is the worst..... now she is making me pose with a shark hat. I refused to wear it, so she wouldn’t let me go trick-or-treating. But I try to keep her happy, so here it is. 

A cat, and bulldogs

Once again our road trip requires me to be on constant high alert.  Everyone keeps talking about bulldogs.  

Evidentially we’re going see a bunch of them tomorrow at the Fullers near Greensboro Ga. where Mom used to live. Meanwhile, we’ve been staying  a couple of nights near where they say the bulldogs are. Nerve wracking. Also, there’s a cat here. Her name is Miya and she doesn’t like me.

Skyline Drive - OH MY!!!

Mom and I spent all day last Saturday on the tip top of the Blue Ridge Mountains
in the Shenendoah National Park.  

I was nervous about the bear warnings
and stayed viligent

It was the first day Skyline Drive opened since
 early March, so there weren't many cars on it.
We had the mountains mostly to ourselves!

Sometimes I don't understand Mom's vision.  She takes pictures of everything.  

She says the only thing she stages is me.

Today was crazy and I am exhausted. Mom depended on me to entertain all the dogs who brought their people to our garage sale. There was one, Peanut, who was really flirting with me, but I told her my heart belongs to Rita.

On The Road Again

Mom said we are going to start traveling again!! I already have a trip to tell about, but first here's the CliffsNotes version of the last five years.  Mom and I married Mike in early 2014.  He needed us to take care of him and we spent a lot of time in hospitals and rehab places. Mom says someone else is taking care of him now, so we are back on our own.

A couple of years ago, Mom started painting.  She called it therapeutic.  She painted and painted and painted while Mike watched FOX news and I took long naps.  Some paintings have been sold or gifted, but we still have around 60 in our house.  She says we are going to invite people who like them to our house for an inventory reduction sale. That should be fun!

Our very first Somewhere Else trip was last month to see the VA Gutheries.  We stayed with them 10 days and I tried really hard to get along with Henry.  I heard people say Henry is tolerant, but I think it's me.

We are going back to VA to in April and may go to VA Beach to visit a lady Mom hasn't seen in 55 years .  I sure hope they still like each other!!  And Mom says we are going to start going to croquet tournaments, but she didn't say when.  We had a long weekend at Tybee Island with Shelley and our friends the Murphys.  They are rebuilding the beach from the hurricane - right now it looks like another planet.

I have a girlfriend!!  She doesn't seem to mind that I will be 11 in November.  She is only three, but very mature.  Her name is Rita.
